Why Did I Choose Curves?
I was working as an accountant and had just lost my mum to breast cancer and needed a change of scene. I didn’t know exactly what I wanted to do, but I did know that I wanted to make a difference to people’s lives.
I saw an ad in the local paper that Curves Mornington was for sale and it ticked all of my boxes. That was 6 years ago.
Over the past 6 years I have met some of the most wonderful and inspirational ladies, I have learnt so much about health, fitness and nutrition and I have had so much fun. Our members are all wonderful ladies; they are all so supportive of my team and their fellow members and I enjoy going to work every day.
Not long after I took over the business, my mother-in-law, Tina, joined the club. Now talk about inspirational ladies, she is so fit and has such vibrancy about her that she could run rings around your average 30 year old. She has always been active, she walks and rides her bike, but before Curves she felt her upper body was weak and now she feels strong all over.
When my step daughter, Georgia, finished her VCE she was not sure what she wanted to do so she started working as a Curves Coach and she is a really good one. Since starting at Curves she has completed her Cert IV in Fitness, is currently doing a remedial massage course and is looking at further study in Myotherapy or Dietetics next year. She is looking at a bright future in the health and fitness industry and I am so proud of her and happy that she got her start at Curves.
What I love most about Curves is that it works. My step daughter, mother-in-law and I can all workout on the circuit at the same time and get what we individually need from the workout without changing a thing.
