A 30-minute total body workout with a dynamic LIVE instructor that takes you through warm-up, cardio, strength training, cool down, and stretching. A Curves On the Go coach will guide you through each workout providing motivation, accountability, and ensuring safety with proper form and modifications, as needed. In between the strength training resistance band exercises, you will perform functional moves to help improve your balance, flexibility, coordination, endurance, and stamina. After an upper body resistance band move, you will move to a functional exercise for 30 seconds. Next will be a resistance band move, which will work the lower body, and then back to a functional exercise again. Finally, we’ll focus on a resistance band move or functional exercise that works your core. This repeats throughout the entire 30-minute circuit. During your workout, it’s important to maintain your workout intensity between the resistance band moves. Whether you are just starting out or you’re an exercise enthusiast, you can select the appropriate workout intensity and challenge yourself. The main thing to remember is that these moves are there to maintain your heart rate. The focus during your workout should always be on the resistance band moves and any other strength training exercises.
We have a variety of higher to lower-intensity classes appropriate for any level of fitness that combine strength training with functional movements, which target all your major muscle groups.
Yes, this workout is specially designed for women of any fitness level to achieve results. Your coach will work with you, to ensure that you are safe and receiving an effective workout.
The Curves resistance bands are unlike every other resistance band. The protective sleeve provides an impeccably safe and higher-quality product than traditional naked resistance tubing. Unlike naked resistance bands, these resistance band will keep your skin safe against uncomfortable rubbing. The Curves resistance band utilises an advanced grade of elastic resistance and encases the tubing in a protective fabric sleeve. The protective safety sleeve is what offers the most important function and differentiator between these bands and regular naked-tubing. With the Curves resistance band there is less risk of injury associated with the same breakage as with naked-tubing. Should the elastic ever break, it would do so inside the sleeve, still protecting your skin and body parts from the potential of the elastic, therefore hindering it from becoming a projectile that could cause injury.
With over 30 years of research and results, Curves is a trusted brand in women’s fitness known for providing strength training, cardio, and stretching in an effective 30-minute format. The band and workout are designed to provide the critical strength training element that you may not find with other programs that are based around walking or cardio only. Curves resistance band will protect you and maintain the integrity of the Curves On the Go program. You can take the band home and practice moves between classes or utilise it for MyCurves On Demand workouts at-home. Ask your Coach for details.
Each Curves on the Go coach has a set of resistance bands for guests who want to try one. Bands are cleaned and sanitised per the manufacturer’s guidelines following each workout. This ensures that all coaches and guests are safe, and the band is properly cared for.
We recommend 3-4 Curves On the Go workouts per week. More than 4 days of strength training workouts, and your muscles won’t have adequate time to recover. Less than 3 strength training workouts per week isn’t enough to raise your metabolism. We do recommend active recovery days between workouts. You can try the MyCurves On Demand audio classes, enjoy a brisk walk, or just dance it out!
The workouts will be held at various locations in your local community. Visit www.curves.com/find-a-club to find a Curves On the Go coach near you. They will always have their latest schedule and contact information on their local Facebook page.
